Staying in the Marais has given us a brief insight into living in Paris. I feel like I am living in a recreated era. Paris in Autumn is beautiful and the people are polite and helpful and our hosts very professional. Thanks for getting up at 6am Melanie – much appreciated. Autumn in Paris – what could be more sublime? Three days at your AbsoluteMarais “pied-a-terre”, sleek, clean and comfy. Merci for the down pillows and comforters and mattress easy to sleep on. We availed ourselves of the Adam Gopnik book and your internet connection – also the free local telephone very useful.
Thank you for including a brief story about the apartment and thank you for exposing the “pouters”. Tres belles ambiance. Also the light finding its way in through the tall windows and white curtains – much appreciated. You have created a very special place. It’s obvious you put care and thought into the design and details of this apartment and in consequence we felt very welcomed and at home. (So restful to stay somewhere tastefully spare rather than tarted up!) The second time around proved even more special and interesting than the first. It was ausch a joy to open the door and find everything just as we remembered it. Took your advice on the jewelry and go two great pieces at Miravida. Also for anyone who likes their eyeglasses a bit special both Max and I indulged again in some amazing new frames from La Botique Alain Mikli, 1 rue des Rosiers, 5 minutes away an dreally worth a look. Also I must mention the joy I got from reading your – Paris to the Moon – it really brought some familiar places to light and showed us some new ones (apart from being a great read.) Off to get a taxi now – and the sun is just breaking through for the first time in a week. Good times to all who follow… We absolutely loved the time we spent in your apartment and thank you for making it so comfortable and convenient. You have spoiled us for the future because this apartment was far better than a hotel ever could have been. We were inspired to go out into the neighborhood to find our wine, bread, cheese and fruit, which we returned to enjoy at the end of each day of strenuous tourism. As the week went on, we found ourselves preferring to return for the relaxation and coziness. The neighborhood drew us in as well, and before long the Marais seemed more interesting than the museums. It was delightful staying in your apartment, it was a very pleasant place to
be, extremely well set up and in a great location. Your arrangements made
the whole experience great and we would definitely consider staying again in
the future, if possible.
In particular, we found your guest information guide most helpful and acted
on your recommendation to Chez Michel and had a wonderful dinner.
We depart Paris for Strasbourg tomorrow morning, and we wanted to thank you so much for a wonderful week in your Paris apartment. We love le marais, and having the amenities of a furnished apartment made our stay so much better. We thought your place was great...we said that we've been going to Paris up to four times a year for 15 years
and your apartment was our favorite. We are still telling friends about how much we loved the apartment! I say how it has spoiled us for future travel - the apartment experience is so much better than the hotel. We very much appreciated that information that you put together for the notebook in the apartment. One point of feedback is that the Philosophes cafe was not a good experience for us - unfriendly service and not very good food. We were very surprised, as it had been recommended to us by a friend here in the states as well. One very nice surprise was the Oliviers & Co shop at 47 rue vielle du Temple. They had wonderful things for us to take home as gifts, did a lovely job of wrapping gifts, and were so cordial and kind to us American shoppers. Lastly, we very much appreciate Melanie. She was very helpful while we were there, arranging for an early morning taxi to the airport. She retrieved the ring my daughter left at the apartment and mailed it to us. It arrived safely a few days ago. Thank you again - I hope to return to Paris and the apartment in the future. We returned from Paris this evening after a great visit to Paris.
We loved your apartment, feeling like guests in your home while you were
away. Being able to stay in a 16th century building in Paris was beyond my
dreams. The decor and amenities in your apartment were top notch. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your apartment. We LOVED it! You've done a wonderful job remodeling it. This was our first trip to Paris, and falling in love with the apartment was the beginning of falling in love with Paris.
I'll definitely recommend your flat to all of my friends! We had an absolutely wonderful time in Paris and were delighted to be able to come home every night to your welcoming, warm and stylish apartment. The apartment really is brilliantly located - close to great restaurants, shops, galleries and transport. We also very much appreciated your prompt and helpful approach to arranging the booking and would particularly like to thank Natalie for her friendly assistance and advice. We had the most wonderful time and felt like ‘locals’ by the time our week was over. The location and convenience of the apartment was wonderful and we were more than comfortable. I enjoyed cooking most evenings, and therefore, enjoyed shopping locally for our produce. We of course were the supreme tourists and by the end of each day could barely put one foot in front of the other, but every museum and garden was explored and we look forward to another trip, who knows when, but we shall contact you again.
